The Beast in Me

With regards to my last post, I'm reminded of song by Johnny Cash. How appropriate that he wrote it.

The beast in me

Is caged by frail and fragile bars
Restless by day and by night
Rants and rages at the stars
God help the beast in me

The beast in me
Has had to learn to live with pain
And how to shelter from the rain
And in the twinkling of an eye
Might have to be restrained
God help the beast in me

Sometimes it tries to kid me
That it's just a teddy bear
And even somehow manage to vanish in the air
And that is when I must beware
Of the beast in me that everybody knows
They've seen him out dressed in my clothes
Patently unclear if it's New York or New Year
God help the beast in me

The beast in me

just because your eyes say more than you know, do not try to conceal that as well. those who care enough will see that it is not some Dark Beast, something Evil...
you may 'appear' scary (intimidating?), but you are easy to trust. you may have caused unease, just because of unawareness, but never once fear. why do you think your friends want you by their side? i dont think you will break open...and let some Beast out. dont let the fear and the pain and the darkness cloud your soul. you are not what the Beast says you are. you NEVER have been. dont let him try to tell you otherwise. things i need to remind myself of as well...not the same things, but its still that same ominous voice of evil pain and the dreams...and dont believe it. you, michael sycz jr, are not that. neither am i what i was.
